Project rewild
Ongoing Project
giving wild spaces back to nature
Project Rewild is one of the most ambitious undertakings in the history of the Village Projects Foundation — a long-term commitment to restore natural habitats, revive biodiversity, and reconnect people with the land.
This project represents our largest investment to date, both in time and in resources. With a fundraising target of £200,000, Project Rewild will allow us to purchase between 8 and 12 acres of land here in the UK and return it to its natural state through the process of rewilding.
Rewilding means stepping back and allowing nature to take the lead — enabling native plants, trees, and wildlife to reclaim their space. Over the years, these rewilded areas will develop into rich ecosystems that clean the air, improve soil health, and support countless species that once thrived here.
But Project Rewild is not just an environmental initiative — it’s also a new way to educate and inspire.
We believe that education through nature is one of the most powerful tools for long-term change. When people — especially young people — can observe and participate in nature’s recovery, they begin to understand the delicate balance that sustains life. Through outdoor learning, volunteering, and guided conservation projects, we hope to foster a deeper respect for the natural world and the role we all play in protecting it.
Nature itself becomes the classroom: teaching patience, interconnection, and sustainability in ways that no textbook can replicate.
This is a long-term project that will grow, evolve, and flourish over time — just like the land it seeks to restore. By supporting Project Rewild, you’re helping us rebuild ecosystems, reconnect communities, and reimagine how education and conservation can work hand in hand.
Together, we can give nature back its space — and learn from it once more.
