Project Fursa:
A Digital Literacy Initiative Impacting Education in Kenya

On the Map...
Kaimbaga Secondary School is based in the town of Kaimbaga near Nakura.
The population of the town is difficult to find anywhere online as statistics like this are generally not published.
Project Fursa is a transformative digital literacy initiative targeted at empowering students in Kaimbaga, Kenya. By establishing a modern computer laboratory equipped with 40 computers, we aim to provide over 300 students annually with critical ICT education, bridging the digital divide. This project is more than an infrastructure upgrade; it’s a pathway to digital literacy and future opportunities for the youth. So far, it has been a resounding success!
Project Fursa is our response.
We have transformed an unsafe, crumbling classroom into a modern computer laboratory equipped with 40 computers, a projector, CCTV, and WiFi — creating a vital digital learning hub for students who otherwise wouldn’t have access to technology.
Why It Matters
Without a functioning ICT lab, students will miss out on essential digital skills required not just to pass exams, but to participate in the modern world. This lab will provide hands-on learning, digital literacy, and a fair chance to thrive in a connected economy.
